On May 5th, 2022, Michael Ratajczyk, Ph.D.(ABD), spoke to a crowd of over 1,300 federal employees about upskilling opportunities at the Federal Government Virtual Education & Professional Development Symposium, hosted by Education Institutions of the Federal Academic Alliance.   During the event, attendees had the opportunity to meet with schools, including Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and attend informational webinars. Additional events included learning opportunities through forums and workshops, supporting career development for federal employees, and discussing mission-critical topics.

Michael’s address spoke about the future of supply chain management. He discussed the new frontier of business and technology as it relates to innovations in supply chains and the expectations of resilient and reliable networks.  The growth in business intelligence tools has increased the ability of business users to utilize artificial intelligence and expert systems tied into enterprise resource planning systems to access information across the buying and selling side of businesses and organizations.

This fall 2022, Saint Mary’s is launching a graduate certificate program in Supply Chain Analytics.  Resilient supply chains work by understanding and leveraging data. At Saint Mary’s, our fully online supply chain analytics graduate certificate program explores this dynamic and focuses on analytics, artificial intelligence, and strategic thinking.
