ATTENTION NEW STUDENTS ATTENDING COURSES ON A CAMPUS:

The Minnesota Campus Sexual Assault law requires that new students attending courses on a campus of the the university must complete training on sexual misconduct awareness within the first ten days of beginning classes.  Fully online students do not need to complete this training.  The training is consistent with our continuing effort to prevent sexual misconduct, to raise awareness and understanding about sexual misconduct, and to foster a community in which members value each other’s rights in this area. The training we require is an on-line training course on sexual misconduct that examines sexual misconduct, bystander intervention, and risk reduction.

The sexual misconduct training module for students is listed as a course under “My Courses” in Canvas (your student portal). The course is called “U Got This! (SGPP)”.  We estimate that this course will take you 30 minutes to complete. You can work at your own pace from any computer. If this course is not showing up in your student portal, please let the Help Desk know at helpdesk@smumn.edu or 507-457-7800.

To access the training, click the course and enter any requested information.

We encourage you to complete this training as soon as possible. If you have questions, please contact the Title IX Coordinator at TitleIX@smumn.edu.
