On Monday, April 24th, Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota hosted the Entrepreneurs First (E1) Expo at the Cascade Meadow facility in Rochester, MN.  This exciting day of programming brought together entrepreneurs and the organizations that support them in the southeast Minnesota region.  Over 120 people attended the day and the energy was exceptionally positive.  The Kabara Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies is a partner in the E1 regional ecosystem.

As part of the expo, there were hour-long breakout sessions in the morning and afternoon on topics like marketing and work / life balance.  Professor Michael Ratajczyk gave a presentation on how ChatGPT, and AI in general, will impact small and emerging businesses in the next few years.  The presentation was well attended and conversations continued throughout the day on the topic.

Saint Mary’s is an active partner in the regional ecosystem, focused on supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses.  We intend to continue to host these expos on an annual basis and build our community engagement and brand recognition for the university.
