It’s our 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY! Last July the Winona Fun Squad (WFS) started and we sponsored 14 events throughout the year, including the Chili, Soup, and Bread Cook-Off, three ice cream socials, three Donuts and Dialogue socials, Christmas Sweet Treats gathering, and a Tailgate Party. Our events included over 500 total participants (duplicated headcount) and we’re excited for Year 2! WE ARE BETTER TOGETHER!
The WFS is an employee group that is focused on bringing employees on the Winona campus together to build community and have some fun together. Currently, there are 26 members and if you’d like to join, you can sign up here and see the current members too. What does membership in WFS involve? You would be part of a committed group that shares the load in planning, hosting, passing the word to colleagues, cleaning up and sometimes also contributing things (ex – baked goods, paper plates, chips, drinks, ice cream toppings) to events. If you join, you don’t need to attend or assist with every event, but we hope that together, we can host events each semester that will bring employees together in community. And we’re looking for new ideas for events too, as our schedule is just starting to be developed for 2023-24.
