The Institutional Review Board has developed a new IRB application process with cloud-based software Cayuse Human Ethics. With Cayuse, we will be able to streamline the IRB application form for researchers and more efficiently handle the volume of submissions we receive. The Cayuse system will formally replace our current system of IRB submission on April 24, 2022.
Some benefits of Cayuse IRB include:
- Easy to use electronic forms with logic-branching features
- Real-time submission tracking
- IRB record management from initial submission through study closure
The IRB plans to go live with Cayuse IRB this February 28th. This means that students and faculty will be able to log-in and submit applications through Cayuse. You can choose to complete the “New Application” which is built into Cayuse or submit the “old application” as a Word document or PDF through Cayuse. This grace period will end April 24th.
