On March 24th, Spencer Wanlass (Instructional Technology Specialist) and Matt Isaia (Instructional Technologist) presented at the 2023 UPCEA Annual Conference in Washington D.C. UPCEA is an association devoted to professional, continuing, and higher education across the United States and parts of Canada.  Spencer and Matt’s presentation focused on how they created the reIMAGINE Learning Resource in Canvas.
About the Conference
While at the conference, both Matt and Spencer were able to gain insights from other presentations and keynote speakers, addressing a wide variety of topics including faculty development, best practices in online pedagogy, and tactical problem solving. Spencer and Matt partnered with members from New York University (NYU) to deliver a joint presentation that addressed unique ways to support full-time and course contracted faculty in higher education.
reIMAGINE is a self-paced learning resource built to assist instructors at Saint Mary’s (both graduate and undergraduate).
It provides examples of online course content and activities across the University and the broader fields of educational technology and online pedagogy. The examples of reIMAGINE are meant to inspire and assist instructors as they teach their courses at Saint Mary’s.
