In our most recent faculty needs assessment survey, faculty identified the Online Instructor Certification series as one of the most impactful teaching and learning topics offered by the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) in recent years!
Our Online Instructor Certification courses ensure that all Saint Mary’s instructors are trained in the best practices of online education so that they can deliver quality online courses to students at all levels.
Each course is four weeks in length and offered in an asynchronous format. Digital badges are issued upon the successful completion of each course individually.
In the year ahead, Saint Mary’s hopes to continue to build its reputation as a leader in the use of innovative best practices in higher education. Certifying our faculty in online learning will not only enhance the student experience and support student outcomes, but will also create opportunities for Saint Mary’s to make meaningful contributions to the scholarship of teaching and learning.
We encourage all faculty to join the over 200 faculty members who have been certified to date.
