Inclusion and Human Dignity Week

Dear Saint Mary’s Faculty and Staff,

Join us during our inaugural Inclusion and Human Dignity week to reflect on and celebrate our inherent dignity and worth as children of God, created in His image and likeness, and to love our neighbor in all that we do. Our theme this year: exploring injustices. 

Each day will have different opportunities to celebrate and discuss our inclusive community alongside the concept of human dignity. Please reference the timeline of events below: 

All Week (January 15th – January 19th)

There will be an interactive Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. timeline of key speeches along with reflection questions for students, faculty, and staff to read. 

College Location: Toner Student Center Lobby

SGPP Location: La Salle Hall 

 

Tuesday, January 16th 

College Event: Mass for the Preservation of Peace and Justice (Saint Thomas More Chapel at 12:15 PM)

College Event: Prayer service prior to the Student Senate meeting (Salvi Lecture Hall at 6:45 PM)

 

Wednesday, January 17th

SGPP Event: Movie Showing: Sound of Freedom (Brother Louis Hall, Room 105, 3:30 P.M.)*

College Event: Listening to Reality – A Survivor Story (Aquinas Hall, Room 200, 7 P.M.)*

 

Thursday, January 18th 

SGPP Event: Listening to Reality – A Survivor Story (University Events Center, Banquet East, 12 Noon)*

College Event: Movie Showing: Sound of Freedom (Aquinas Hall, Room 200, 6:30 P.M.)*

 

Friday, January 19th

SGPP Event: Prayer Service (Mother Teresa Hall, 11 A.M.)
