Our 12th Annual Career & Internship Fair is approaching fast (10/29), and your support can help us with getting students there. Students can register and view the 70+ employers/graduate schools attending here through Handshake. You are welcome to create a “student” account to see for yourself! Please encourage students to join, whether they want to stay for awhile, or pop in to see their top few employers. If you, or your students, have any questions about the upcoming fair, please do not hesitate to reach out: careerservices@smumn.edu. To help build the students confidence, both inside and out, we have these upcoming events to prepare students for the fair:
👔 The Clothing Closet will be having an open house on Wednesday, Oct 22 from 3-5 p.m. & 6-8 p.m.
- Students can drop by (SM 404) during these time periods to get a FREE new business casual/professional outfit for the Career Fair!
📝 Students are encouraged to join our “How to make the most of the career fair” workshop for all things Career Fair on Tuesday, Oct 21!
- At this workshop, students will receive assistance with building their professional introduction. Having a practiced introduction can ensure students are presenting themselves, their brand, and skills to those they will meet throughout their career development journey (career fairs, interviews, leaving a voicemail, etc.)! Students can bring any questions they have about participating in the fair!
There are 2 sessions available for this workshop, so students can pick the one that fits their schedule!
