As faculty and staff, you play a critical role in guiding students toward their career goals. One powerful tool at their disposal is Handshake, a platform designed to connect students with employers, career resources, and professional opportunities. However, many students may not fully understand how to leverage Handshake to its full potential. That’s where the upcoming virtual workshop comes in.
On Friday, February 28th, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Career Services will host a virtual workshop to teach students how to navigate Handshake effectively. This session is a great opportunity for students to gain a deeper understanding of how to make the most of the platform, from building their profiles to searching for jobs and internships.
In this session, students will learn how to:
- Build a Strong Profile: Help students craft profiles that connect them with employers and increase their visibility. A strong profile is key to attracting the right opportunities.
- Attend Events: Show students how to find and attend job fairs, workshops, and networking events that can help them advance their career.
- Network: Encourage students to connect with employers, alumni, and professionals who are eager to support their career development.
- Search for Jobs & Internships: Help students explore job and internship opportunities tailored to their goals and interests.
By attending this workshop, students will leave with the tools and knowledge to use Handshake confidently as they take the next step in their career journey.
We encourage you to share this valuable opportunity with your students. Their future career success begins with the right resources, and Handshake is an essential tool for their growth.
