Diego Corvera will head to medical school when he graduates, following in his parents’ footsteps as he works to become a physician. As a pre-med student, majoring in biology was only fitting. But Corvera says his health humanities minor has been just as applicable to his education and daily life.
His parents’ interactions with patients drew his interest to health humanities. He understands that health humanities and its ethical implications play a role in every level of care. “I wanted to look at the ethical side of medicine,” he said.
