Graduate Programs in Project Management host PMI GAC Accreditors Site Visit

The Project Management Programs hosted the site visit team from the PMI-GAC (Project Management Institute – Global Accreditation Center) on April 22nd to 24th.   During their visit, they reviewed the programs, ensuring that the PMI GAC accreditation standards are met in the areas of  Program Mission, Curricula, and Core Areas of Focus on Learning Outcomes, Program Information Integrity, Faculty and Staff, Student Support, and Finance.  During their visit, they met with administration, faculty, student support staff, students, and alumni to determine whether we were rated as not aligned, partially aligned, fully aligned, or distinguished.  The programs received a “Fully Aligned” rating with PMI GAC standards in five areas and a “Distinguished” rating in one — Student Support. PMI GAC rarely gives out a “Distinquished” rating. So we should all take pride in the fact that our commitment to and support for our students runs deep in our culture and is apparent to people not affiliated with SMUMN.
