On Thursday, March 30th at pm, students and staff will have the opportunity to be Safe Space trained by Tyler Treptow-Bowman from Winona State University. This virtual event, which was planned by SAGA (the sexuality and gender alliance club) is for those who want to know more about how to create a space that is welcoming for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Participants will receive a Safe Space certification, which can be included on resumes and used as a way to show dedicated allyship to the diverse communities of Saint Mary’s and beyond. The training will be 1.5 to 2 hours long. Email SAGA’s club president at rmhewi18@smumn.edu with any questions about our event.
