Our Student Success Center Advisers want to make sure that you have all the resources you need to have a successful advising season! There are several resources available to YOU as an adviser including:
- Advising Resource Tables– Located in Aquinas Hall and Saint Mary’s Hall, these tables have important documents that include: Course scheduling grids, Four-year long term planning worksheets, How to submit an Early Alert guides, Integratus Information sheets, Integratus Planning forms, Advising Information SP23 Guides, counseling, tutor, and Academic Success PRO information.
- Advising Website– Studentsuccess.smumn.edu/academic-advising/ is the best place to find up-to-date resources including links to the course catalog, the live Integratus Course Listing and Cultural Engagement offerings. Other handouts such as course scheduling grids, Integratus Planning forms, and Four- year long term planning worksheets are available for download and printing.
- Advising Information Spring 2023 Guides– A document prepared by the advisers of the Student Success Center, in consultation with department chairs and the associate dean of general education. This document is to provide advisers with a snapshot of each department. For the most up to date information, we encourage you to communicate cross-departmentally to best serve the needs of your students.
Other Services in the Student Success Center that may be helpful for your student:
- Tutoring: Students can sign up for tutoring through Knack (smumn.joinknack.com).
- Early Alert: To submit an alert on a student of concern, go to your faculty and staff portal and select Student Early Alert under the Faculty and Staff Portal tab.
- Academic Success PROs: Peer-to-peer support for students who would like to further improve academic skills such as time management, organization, note-taking, test-taking, and studying.
