Forensic Science Internship Opportunity – Learn more at the Fair

The Southern Minnesota Medical Examiner’s Office in partnership with the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine & Science is seeking applicants for their Forensic Science Internship Program.

The program director from the Southern Minnesota Medical Examiner’s Office will be attending the Career & Internship Fair next week to connect with students who may be interested in the internship program. Students can meet her at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine & Science table to learn more about the program. Students should RSVP to attend the Career & Internship Fair.
The office is currently recruiting a student for their January internship (apply by November) and the summer internship application is due in April.
To be eligible for the Medical Examiner’s Office Internship, students must:
  • Be currently enrolled as a third- or fourth-year student in a criminology, criminal justice, forensic science, or natural science program
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Be at least 18 years of age before starting the program

Candidates are selected based on grades and work experiences, as well as representation of personal qualities and skills and a genuine interest in the forensic field of medicolegal death investigation in a purpose statement.
