The First Generation Initiative invites you to our upcoming Chat & Chew, a casual gathering that we hope brings together first-generation students, faculty, and staff to share stories, and build community! This event is a great chance to connect across roles, exchange experiences, and strengthen the first-gen community on campus. There will be hors d’oeuvres and refreshments available for your enjoyment.
All faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to attend, especially those who are first-gen themselves! As a reminder, “A Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota student is considered a first-generation college student if neither parent / guardian completed a four-year college degree.”
