As a longstanding tradition, the Student Activities Committee is hosting SnowDaze for the first two weeks of classes. Due to the updated COVID protocols, SAC has pivoted their programming to virtual or grab and go format. Please see below for the list of events during the first week, January 18-23.

Please continue to encourage students to participate in events – this fosters their sense of community! 

Tuesday, January 18

“Lay Low” Snack Kits

11:30am, Toner Stairs

As we all commit to “Laying Low” during the first two weeks of the semester, SAC offers a free snack kit. While supplies last.

 

Wednesday, January 19

Where is Big Red? – collaboration with Student Success and First Generation Initiative Center 

All Day, All Campus

On your way to class or the dining hall, keep an eye out for Big Red. If you find Big Red, turn him into the Student Success and First Generation Initiative Center, Griffin Hall 70, for a prize.

 

Thursday, January 20

2000’s Virtual Trivia

7pm, Click Here for Zoom Link

Throwback to our childhood! Test your knowledge of 2000’s pop culture with SAC’s virtual trivia game.
1st Place: Bluetooth Boombox
2nd Place: The Sims 4
3rd Place: Tamagotchi

 

Friday, January 21

Mug Cake Kits

5pm, Toner stairs

Stop by on your way to dinner for a free SAC mug with a DIY Mug Cake kit! While supplies last.

 

Saturday, January 22

Live Stream the Athletic Events!

1pm – Women’s Basketball vs. Macalester 

2pm – Women’s Hockey vs. Hamline

3pm – Men’s Basketball vs. Macalester 

 

Sunday, January 23

Rent a Board Game

11am-1pm, Toner Game Room

SAC owns over 50 different board games. Come to the game room to check one out for some Sunday evening games with a small group of friends. Return the games to the SAC office within the week.

 

Stuck in Quarantine? Email studentactivities@smumn.edu for any of the kits listed above and residence life will help deliver it to your quarantine room on campus. Emails must be recieved at least 24 hours in advance of the program.
