The end of the semester is in sight! Residents must clean, move out and check out of their residence halls after finals or graduation. All residents must be officially checked out of their room by a residence life staff member. A schedule will be shared with you closer to the end of the semester.
Move out is scheduled as follows:
- Undergraduate students must move out by 12 p.m. on Thursday, April 28th.
- Graduating seniors must be moved out by 12 p.m. on Sunday, April, 30th.
Residents must email either a resident assistant or hall director to schedule a time to check out of their current room / apartment / village, complete their room condition report and turn in their room key. Failure to schedule, clean, check out or turn in your key will result in fines from Residence Life.
EVERY resident must schedule a time to check out. For example, if you live in a 4-person apartment, all 4 residents must check out before departing campus. A schedule will be shared with you by your hall director with available times. Send an email directly to the RA / HD you wish to check out with and they will add your name to the schedule. You must give notice 24 hours before moving out or your request may not be able to be met.
You will be able to see residence life staff listed in the tabs at the bottom of the schedule. You do not need to schedule a time with your RA, but can choose any RA in your area. Your residence must be cleaned and everything moved out before meeting with your RA or HD. If you are in a room / apartment / village with others it is the responsibility of all residents to ensure the room is cleaned and no damages were incurred during the year. If fines need to be applied after check out, the entire room / apartment / village may be charged for damages or improper checkout if anything is left behind.
Summer student workers, in-season athletes, and international students will still need to checkout of your rooms, but not at this time. You will be moved to different campus housing after the residence halls close.
