Please join us in welcoming our new Program Director, Addiction Studies Certificate (Graduate School of Health & Human Services), Theodore (T.D.) Hostikka, PhD, to the Saint Mary’s University community! We are excited to have T.D. join our school and asked him to share a little about himself so we can all get to know him better.
“PhD from Walden University in Forensic Psychology, M.S. from Capella University Behavioral and Mental Health, Post Graduate Studies in Contemporary Addictions, M.Div from Regent University in Practical Theology, B.S. from Washington State University in Social Science and Psychology.
Worked in the Addictions field for 23 years, most recently as a Director of Clinical Services and Director of Residential Services for two large Midwest treatment providers. I have worked in Higher Education for 17 years, teaching in Psychology and Addictions departments.
My wife (Rosalie) and I have two boys (Easton, 14, and Drew, 13). We live in southwest Minnesota. We enjoy living on the lake, being outside, and coaching sports. Rosalie is an instructor in Biology, Women’s Athletic Director, and Head Women’s Basketball coach at Minnesota West Community and Technical College. I have previously served as the Head Baseball coach at Minnesota West, and now I enjoy coaching our boys.”
