Over the summer, the makerspace added an amazing capability to our range of tools – an embroidery machine. It has been amazingly popular and we have been excited to work with our community to figure out the best way to use it! It was exceptionally well received by our community of makers.
Unfortunately, the machine has experienced unrecoverable timing issues and we had to make the difficult decision to send it back to where it came from. This means no more embroidery projects in the near future.
The good news is the makerspace staff, meaning Terra Lieser and her talented pool of interns, is working on a replacement recommendation and we should have something in place by February. This is the nature of a creative space and working with tools – sometimes things go sideways and we need to pivot.
As always, we look forward to seeing you all in the near future, and a reminder that Santa’s Workshop is coming up soon!
