Dr. Christine Beech to Present on Character and Business

Dr. Christine Beech will present on Tuesday, February 28 at 10:30 am in Brother Louis Hall room 124 on the Minneapolis campus. The title of her presentation is “Creating a foundation for personal choice – civic virtues, moral formation, and character education in the American Business School.”
Christine served for several years as the Executive Director and Endowed Chair of the Kabara Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies at Saint Mary’s. During her time at Saint Mary’s, Christine was awarded a Kern fellowship to study character education at the University of Birmingham (UK). Currently, Christine is the founder of Copiavia, a firm providing strategic planning, training, facilitation, and board development for small businesses and nonprofits. She holds a doctoral degree in business management and her academic research is focused on entrepreneurship and nonprofit business models.
Coffee and cookies will be served. In addition, copies of the recent edition of AXIS: Journal of Lasallian Higher Education, which includes an article by Christine, will be available. This event is open to the entire Saint Mary’s community.
