Diwali is the Hindu festival of lights. This religious holiday celebrates the victory of good over evil and light over darkness. Based on the Indian lunar calendar, the festival dates change annually, but usually fall between mid-October and early November. Typically, Diwali is a five day festival, with the third day (November 12) being the most important. This is a time for introspection, cleansing, decorating, gathering, and worship.
