Over 20 Saint Mary’s students took part in an interactive “Night at the Museum” event at the Winona County History Center on Monday, April 4, as part of the spring 2022 Diversity Cafe series. Dr. Erich Lippman, associate professor of history, along with Lindsay Stussy (History/’23) and Andy Bloedorn, curator of collections, presented on public history and accessibility. Students toured the museum’s collection and identified how the museum tells stories as well as whose stories are featured in public collections.

The event was made possible by the generous support of the Integratus program. Diversity Cafe is in its final semester as an option for students seeking cultural engagement credit and will not return as an approved cultural engagement experience in the fall of 2022.
