Are you interested in the game of golf, or perhaps the game of frisbee? If you are, you might want to try Disc Golf! Disc Golf is the combination of the two, where the individual tries to throw a disc into a basket, using the same scoring methods in the game of golf. Disc Golf is a sport that has been on the rise in recent years, where the Midwest has served as the hotspot for this growth! Well, did you know that Saint Mary’s University is home to a Disc Golf course? “The Woods” is an 18 hole course that features narrow fairways and intricate basket placements while nestling itself in the bluffs that overview campus. It’s definitely a hidden gem here in the Winona region.
I invite all members of the student population that are interested in Disc Golf to form an organized club. It would be a great way to expand upon the ever growing game! Players don’t have to have any experience, as most just play the game for fun (a way to socialize while being outdoors) and others can take it a step further and compete at a higher level. Don’t miss this “Ace” of an opportunity to start a club on campus today!
