November 2 is the annual All Souls Day in the Catholic Church, and it has been a rich tradition at Saint Mary’s University to commemorate this day by inviting all of our constituents of all faiths to join us in remembering those who have gone before us and have made a difference in our lives. In the Catholic tradition, as we remember them gratefully, we also pray for the peaceful repose of their souls.
We invite you to send us names of deceased family, friends, and loved ones. The names will be placed in front of the altar in the sanctuary of Saint Thomas More Chapel on our Winona Campus. We will remember those individuals named on the cards, and your own intentions, when we come together for Mass during November each weekday at 12:10 p.m. and on Sunday mornings.
Check your Campus Mailboxes in the basement of Toner for a special letter from Father Burns (which includes a prayer card featuring our newest campus installation, the Mary, Seat of Wisdom statue). You can submit names via the enclosed card, or online at connect.smumn.edu/all-souls.
