To the SMU Campus Community,
The Delicious Without station in the dining hall has been providing an allergen-friendly menu for years. When we brought Mara Aschliman, our registered dietitian, onboard, we took a hard look at the procedures and demands of this station. In collaboration with our corporate dietitians and culinary team, we’ve decided to convert the Delicious Without station into a Homestyle station beginning spring semester to better serve our campus community.
The new Homestyle station will continue to feature a clean protein, carbohydrate, and vegetable—now without the restrictions of the nine major allergens. This updated approach gives us greater flexibility to create dishes that better reflect your tastes here at SMU. We’ve received the findings from the October campus dining survey, completed by 183 of you, and your feedback will help guide the menus you’ll see moving forward.
