Dear Campus Community,
I write to inform you that Mr. Fernando Bucaro has made the personal decision to step down from his role as Chief Financial Officer. After thoughtful reflection, he has chosen to dedicate more time to his personal endeavors, including board service and spending additional time with his family. While his tenure with Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota was brief, we are grateful for his contributions and wish him well in this next chapter. He has graciously offered to assist as needed during this transition.
Please be assured that we are committed to a smooth transition and will provide updates on the next steps soon. Fortunately, we have recently conducted a formal analysis of the necessary responsibilities to develop an interim solution for Saint Mary’s and we have already been implementing those steps. Going forward, Dr. Andy Dirksen, Chief Operating Officer, will work closely with trusted advisors and our outstanding finance personnel to ensure fiduciary continuity and prepare for our upcoming Board of Trustees meeting.
