The Saint Mary’s University athletic department will resume its celebration in recognition of the 50-year anniversary of Title IX beginning Monday, April 3. The celebration was originally slated for late February, but was postponed due to inclement weather.
On Monday, April 3 and Wednesday, April 5, there will be a two-night showing of a documentary on the history of Title IX and its impact, while on Tuesday, April 4, keynote speaker Dr. Courtney Boucher will take center stage. Boucher is the Assistant Director of Research and Programming in the Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport and an instructor in the School of Kinesiology.
Each evening’s event will take place at 7 p.m. in the Aquinas 200 Dr. Philip A. Cochran ‘77 Auditorium.
