This year we celebrate the 300th anniversary of the Bull of Approbation of the Institute of the Christian Brothers.
What does this mean?
On January 26 1725, Pope Benedict XIII signed the papal bull, or public degree, “In Apostolicae Dignitatis Solio,” officially recognizing the Brothers of the Christian Schools as a religious order in the Catholic Church.
Let us celebrate with the Christian Brothers this momentous occassion of God’s grace in the Institute and the lives of the brothers who witness to us.
Here is a personal reflection by Former Superior General, Br. Robert Schieler, FSC on the 300th Anniversary.
