Students are invited to the AI Tools for Academic Success workshop on Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 12:00 PM in the BI Lab (AH225). Co-hosted by the Center for Business Analytics and the First-Generation Initiative, this session is designed to give students, especially those from first-gen backgrounds, a competitive advantage by teaching them how to use artificial intelligence properly and effectively within the classroom. Attendees are strongly encouraged to bring a laptop or mobile device, as parts of the workshop are hands-on!

The workshop provides a comprehensive look at prompt engineering, study techniques, and AI “deep dives” to help students streamline their academic workload. A primary focus will be placed on writing integrity, ethics, and the current limits of these tools, ensuring that attendees understand how to balance innovation with university policy.

The event is designed to provide first-gen students with the roadmap and resources needed to excel in a tech-driven environment. No prior experience with AI is necessary, and all participants will leave with practical skills they can apply immediately to their coursework.
