Programming Contest: Byte Battle

Date: March 22 Friday
Time: 4pm to 7pm (Pizza at 4.30pm and contest starts at 5pm)
Location: Saint Mary’s University. Winona, Minnesota. Aquinas Hall 141A
Key highlights:
- Each team must be registered.
- Each team solves a maximum of 6 problems in 2 hours.
- Each team can have maximum of 3 students.
- Participants must currently be registered at a university.
- One laptop is allowed per team and each team brings their own laptop.
- Books are allowed during the contest but no other electronic device besides their laptop.
- Each incorrect submission results in a 10-minute time penalty.
- All programs must read all input from “standard input” and write all output to “standard output”
- Each problem submission must be a single source file using either Java, Python 3, or C/C++
- Programs should not utilize non-standard libraries or modules.
- The winning team will receive cash prize. (probably $300)
- There will be Pizza for everyone.
