On Friday, February 13, the anniversary of Blessed Brother James Miller’s martyrdom in Guatemala, the Diocese of La Crosse will be celebrating BBJM in Polonia, Wisconsin. Bishop Battersby will celebrate mass at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Church in Polonia, WI, followed by a lunch and a panel featuring four presenters: Louise Shafranski, BBJM’s sister; Fr. Tom Lindner, leader of pilgrimages to his martyrdom site; Fr. Alan Guanella, Judicial Vicar and member of the BBJM Speaker’s Guild; and Bro. Larry Schatz, FSC, Vice Postulator for his cause of celebration. Weather permitting, at 2:30 there will be a visit to his grave site nearby.
