Playoff baseball is here and the Cardinals are ready to make some noise!
The Saint Mary’s baseball team is headed back to the MIAC Playoffs after earning the tournament’s No. 4 seed. The road to a championship starts Thursday, May 7 at CHS Field in St. Paul, Minn. against the top-seeded Bethel Royals. First pitch is set for 2:30 p.m.
The Cardinals and Royals battled earlier this season in a tightly contested showdown that slipped away from Saint Mary’s, but now the stakes are even bigger.
The four-team, double-elimination MIAC baseball playoffs kick off Thursday with No. 1 Bethel (17-3 MIAC) taking on No. 4 Saint Mary’s (12-8 MIAC), while the rest of the bracket gets underway later in the day.
The two teams that fall on Thursday will battle in an elimination game at noon, while Thursday’s winners square off at 3:00 p.m. with a spot in the championship game on the line. The winner of the noon elimination game will then face the loser of the 3:00 p.m. matchup in another win-or-go-home contest at 6:00 p.m.
Championship Saturday is slated for 3:00 p.m., with a second game to follow, if necessary, to decide the MIAC champion.
The prize? A MIAC title and an automatic berth into the 2026 NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament.

Ticketing
Tickets are required for each day of the MIAC Baseball Playoffs and are available for purchase now. Adult tickets are priced at $12.49, with student tickets at $9.20. MIAC pass holders and children ages five and under receive free entry.

Streaming
The 2026 MIAC Baseball Playoffs will be streamed live on the MIAC Sports Network in a pay-per-view format. Fans who are unable to attend the tournament may purchase a $12 “championship pass” to stream the entire MIAC Baseball Playoffs live. On-demand access to playoff games will be available after the NCAA Tournament concludes.
