Attendance issues in the 1st week? Submit an Alert! – Winona

For students who missed the first week of class for your class, please submit an early alert on them. If you have other concerns about students in your class, on your team, or that you work with regularly, please also submit an early alert on them.

How to submit an alert:

1. Log into the Nest (faculty.smumn.edu)
2. Click “Retention”
   1. If you do not have the retention tab, please reach out to advising@smumn.edu
3. Click “Submit Alert”
4. Fill out the required fields
   1. Be sure to add the correct student
   2. Details about the concern should include a detailed overview of the student’s situation, including your efforts to correct the situation and potential solutions / remedies for the situation
5. Click “Submit Early Alert”
