Arts Opportunity to work at Frozen River Film Festival

Frozen River Film Festival has short-term paid opportunities available for students. These are a great opportunity to learn more about the festival, get involved in Winona’s art scene, and get paid!
Positions needed:
  • Venue Manager: The Venue Manager will report to the Production Manager and work in conjunction with Venue Technicians. This person will make sure all technology is working properly, ensure all volunteers have arrived, welcome visiting filmmakers to their screenings, assist with any tech issues, provide an audience head count to the Production Manager after every set, and remain in communication with other staff to ensure all screenings run smoothly. The Venue Manager must be available Saturday, February 10 (9 a.m. until 9 p.m.) and Sunday, February 11 (9 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.), as well as available for a training/run through on Friday, February 9 in the evening. Compensation is $350 plus FRFF will cover your lunch on Saturday. There are opportunities for breaks throughout each day.
  • Box Office Associate: The Box Office Associate will report to the Managing Director and may work with volunteers. The Box Office Associate will sell tickets and passes, must be familiar with the festival schedule and venues, and comfortable counting change and running credit cards. Prior retail experience is very helpful (but not required)! This person will need to be available in the evening on Friday, February 9, Saturday, February 10 (8:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.) and Sunday, February 11 (9 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.) They will also need to meet with the Managing Director for training. Compensation is $350 plus lunch!
