The Hormel Institute, University of Minnesota, is now accepting applications for the SURE (Summer Undergraduate Research Experience) internship program. This prestigious program provides an exceptional opportunity for students to gain hands-on research experience and work alongside world-class scientists at our state-of-the-art research facility. In addition to lab experience students participate in weekly out of lab professional development experiences, information intern bonding opportunities, and an end of program presentation and poster session to enhance learning and internship experiences.
There are 6 – 9 internship positions available and last year there were over 100 applicants for the positions.

Internship Details:

Duration: May 27, 2025 to August 1, 2025 (10 weeks)

Location: The Hormel Institute University of Minnesota Located in Austin, Minnesota.

Paid Internship: $16/hour and 40 hours per week.

Low cost housing is available on a limited basis through Riverland Community College.
