Students,
We wanted to give you advance notice regarding tuition costs for the upcoming 2026-27 academic year. To ensure our programs and services remain competitive and focused on high quality outcomes, Saint Mary’s Board of Trustees has approved a modest tuition adjustment for both the Winona residential undergraduate College and Schools of Graduate and Professional Programs (SGPP). This increase, similar to other quality colleges and universities, helps mitigate the effects of the current inflation rate on university expenses.
We thoughtfully evaluate the investments required to sustain academic quality and student outcomes. Difference in tuition changes across programs reflects careful and deliberate planning, considering program-specific factors like instructional delivery or market demand. Considerations like these help ensure program relevance and educational excellence. The tuition and fees structure for the new academic year are as follows:
For graduate programs, tuition rates per credit will increase by an average of 1.6%, — below the national inflation rate — with individual program increases ranging between 0% and 5.4%, effective summer 2026. Program-specific rates are available online and on individual program webpages.
Two specific programs in our Graduate School of Business and Technology — the on-campus MBA program and the on-campus M.A. in IT Project Management — will see a reduction in tuition rate per-credit. In addition, the international student scholarships previously offered for these programs have now been incorporated directly into the published tuition rate, rather than awarded separately. This scholarship has historically been applied upon admission; the revised pricing approach simplifies tuition, and does not result in a net increase for students.
For online bachelor’s degree programs, tuition rates per credit will not increase for the 2026-27 academic year. Updated tuition information is available online and on individual program webpages.
Consistent with our Lasallian Catholic mission, we remain committed to providing an accessible, outcome-focused education for all students. Thank you for being part of the Saint Mary’s community. Our best wishes to you for a successful spring semester and throughout your studies with us.
