The Metro Region Chapter of the Minnesota Social Service Association (MSSA) has recognized Brittany (Therrien) Kearn ’14 with the 2021 Outstanding Staff Achievement Award. The annual award recognizes a human services professional who demonstrates “consistent, outstanding service to their clients, colleagues, and workplace”.

Kearn is a scholar-athlete alumna who earned the BA in Human Services while skating to some impressive stats as a forward with Cardinal Women’s Hockey. An undergraduate internship with the Women’s Resource Center (now Advocacy Center of Winona) encouraged Kearn to follow her passion – work with survivors of intimate partner violence. In 2020 Kearn transitioned to her current role as a case manager with People Incorporated, a nonprofit provider of integrated behavioral and mental health services.
