AIM Faculty Notification Letters & General AIM Updates
Faculty Notification Letters
Yesterday, instructors began receiving notifications sent through AIM that students had shared Faculty Notification Letters (formerly called Notice of Accommodation letters) with them.
Instructors will login into the AIM Instructor Portal using their SMU credentials to view Faculty Notification Letters.
Instructors can find instructions on how to view Faculty Notification Letters within AIM on the AIM Faculty Training Page on the Access Services Website.
Alternative Testing Module Update
Access Services will be sending out information in the near future about the Alternative Testing Module, so please be on the lookout for that. Instructors will be using this module to provide exam details and upload exams for any students in their courses with testing accommodations.
Instructors can use the AIM Instructor Portal to:
- Review the Faculty Notification letters (formerly called Notice of Accommodation letters) you’ve received, which outline accommodations that a student is approved for.
- Use the Alternative Testing Module to track exam requests and upload exams for students with testing accommodations who will be using the Access Services Testing Center in Winona.
- Find information about whether students need sign language interpreting, real-time captioning, media captioning, and/or materials in alternative formats— ebooks, Braille, large print, etc.
Please contact Access Services with any questions, or if you’d like to set up an appointment to get support with AIM.
