There are several helpful modules and features for faculty within the AIM Instructor Portal.  Below are some of the modules you will have access to.  You can find instructions on how to use these modules on the AIM Faculty Training Page on the Access Services Website.   

Video Captioning Module

If a student in your course has the accommodation of closed-captioning, you can submit a request that a video or media in your course be closed-captioned through this module.  While in this module, you can view a list of your requests, upcoming videos, or all videos by toggling through the choices in the top right corner of your screen. 

Alternate Format Module

You can use this module to view students in your courses who are approved for the accommodation of alternate format textbooks.  As an instructor, there is no action you need to take in this module, it is just for you to stay updated on alternate format book requests that students have made. 

Communication Access Module

In this module, you can view the requests for ASL interpreting or CART services that students in your courses have made. You can also view any transcripts that have been uploaded for your course. As an instructor, there is no action you need to take in this module, it is just for you to stay updated on ASL interpreter or CART services requests and transcripts that students have made or need. 

Adding an Additional Instructor in AIM

This feature is available to instructors who are teaching a course and need to add an additional instructor so that person can also have access to student accommodations and engage with the modules within AIM.

Alternative Testing Module

Access Services will be sending out information in the near future about the Alternative Testing Module, so please be on the lookout for that.  Instructors will be using this module to provide exam details and upload exams for any students in their courses with testing accommodations.
