While it had already been announced that there would be a delay with being able to submit the 24-25 FAFSA due to the finalization of FAFSA Simplification, an additional update from the Department of Education was provided late last month:
The 24-25 FAFSA will officially go live by December 31, 2023! However, please be aware that schools will not receive this information until sometime late in January, 2024.
There are other changes to the FAFSA process because of the FAFSA Simplification Act (like fewer questions and all contributors needing their own FSA ID), and we encourage you to familiarize yourself with them so you are fully prepared to file your 24-25 FAFSA when it becomes available later this month.
