The Saint Mary’s men’s and women’s hockey programs are excited to host the Cardinal Hockey Ice Breaker Day, Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Saint Mary’s Ice Arena. In between the games, bounce over to the David R. Thies Arena to check out the volleyball team in action at 5:00 p.m., hosting St. Scholastica for their Cancer Awareness game.
The day begins at 2:00 p.m., as the Cardinal women’s hockey team faces off against the University of Dubuque. After the game, fans are encouraged to stick around for the Kid Zone and outdoor festivities running from 4:00-7:00 p.m., featuring yard games, crafts, and hot cocoa and cider.
In a fan-favorite tradition, the “Skate With The Cardinals” event returns from 4:00–5:00 p.m., giving attendees a chance to lace up and hit the ice alongside members of both Saint Mary’s hockey teams. Don’t forget your skates!
The excitement continues into the evening with the Cardinal men’s hockey team taking on UW-River Falls at 7:00 p.m.
Admission is free to all events and games throughout the day, and come early to get a free Cardinal Hockey Beanie, sponsored by WNB Financial. There will be FREE Bubbl’r and Starry Zero while supplies last as well!
We can’t wait to welcome you to the rink!
