I remain very grateful to the182 participants who came together from 24 school districts, 9 universities and a dozen businesses for our recent AI Summit. It received rave reviews on that day and on the formal feedback. Attendees particularly commented upon the engaging atmosphere during the keynote and breakout sessions.
The entire summit was only made possible because many individuals, representing several university departments, came together and did their jobs especially well.
In particular, the Scheduling and Registration Office blocked out classrooms for the breakout sessions. Maintenance beautified buildings and grounds and set up the multiple required areas. Security navigated over 180 people for parking and finding their way out safely at the end of the day. Our IT department of two was troubleshooting before and during the summit. The Event Center team set up and supported payment at registration. Marketing and Communications assisted with event flyers, a landing page, and social media advertising. Plus, there were many more individuals who stepped up to volunteer on the day of the summit to help with directing participants at check-in and transition times and facilitating in rooms for breakout sessions.

The Lasallian tradition is the foundation of Saint Mary’s and it is the main reason why I continue to be part of this institution after arriving in 1995 as a student.
