A candidate has requested campaign visits to our residence halls. Dan Wilson, a candidate for the Minnesota House of Representatives, will be campaigning door-to-door in the residence halls from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on the dates below:
- October 5: Skemp, Heffron, and La Salle
- October 6: Brother William, Bishops, and Saint Joseph’s
- October 7: Hillside, Gilmore Creek, and Saint Yon’s
- October 8: Brother Leopold and Residencia Santiago Miller
During these visits, Mr. Wilson may knock on individual residence hall doors to introduce himself, speak with residents, and provide campaign information.
Students are not required to answer their door or participate in these conversations. You may choose whether or not you wish to open your door, speak with Mr. Wilson, or accept campaign literature. If you do not wish to participate, you can simply choose not to answer the door or you may verbally decline a conversation.
These visits are part of the political campaign’s outreach activities and are separate from Residence Life programming or university-sponsored activities.
Thank you for your attention and for helping us maintain a respectful residential community.
