The Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota Center for Business Analytics (CBA) is grateful to the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce (RACC) for partnering with us on the CBA x RACC Collaborative Series.
For our third and final session, “Generative AI in Practice: Tips, Tricks, Techniques, and Traps,” we were excited to welcome over 40 attendees in person for a hands-on workshop focused on practical and responsible uses of generative AI.
During the workshop, participants explored how AI tools can support writing, brainstorming, summarizing, analysis, presentations, creative design, and everyday productivity. The workshop also covered prompting strategies, ways to evaluate AI-generated responses, and common traps to avoid, including hallucinated information, weak sources, privacy concerns, bias, and overconfidence.
These sessions reflected exactly what the CBA hopes to support: practical learning, meaningful industry connection, and responsible conversations around emerging technology. We are especially thankful for the strong engagement, thoughtful questions, and positive feedback from participants.
