The Financial Aid Office is seeking faculty and staff members who are willing to serve as Scholarship Committee members to review applications and make recipient decisions for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Applications for these undergraduate scholarships will be blinded and a rubric for scoring will be provided to committee members. You can anticipate roughly 2-4 hours per committee (if you opt to be on multiple committess – it really is that fun!). The majority of the work will be done independently in June, reviewing application files and ranking submissions on a GoogleDoc. One virtual meeting of all committee members to then discuss and select a recipient/s will take place in late June or early July.
Please email Joy Rockwell [jrockwel@smumn.edu] if you are interested in joining a committee, as well as if you have a preference of scholarship committee (with the exception of the St. Jude as we already have a wonderful alumni committee who fields these applications). Our hope is to have all scholarships reviewed and recipients selected no later than July 10th.
