Residence Life has several opportunities this week for students to connect with their community and prepare for the upcoming housing selection process.

On Thursday, March 19, 2026, Residence Life will host an all-day March Madness Watch Party from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in The Flop. The event will take place in a casual come-and-go format, allowing students to stop by throughout the day to watch tournament games, spend time with friends, and enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks provided by Residence Life staff. The watch party is also part of the ongoing Res Life Cup competition, and residents who attend will earn participation points for their residential area. Attendees will also have opportunities throughout the day to participate in activities for a chance to win prizes.

Later that evening, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., students are invited to attend the Res Hall Open House as they begin planning their housing arrangements for the 2026–2027 academic year. Several upperclassmen residence hall rooms will be staged and open for viewing, giving students the chance to explore their housing options and get a better sense of the different living spaces available on campus. Snacks will be available at room locations, and Resident Assistants will be present to guide visitors, answer questions about the spaces, and provide additional information about the housing selection process.

Students are also reminded that Friday, March 20, 2026, is the priority housing deadline. To be eligible for priority housing selection, students must submit their housing deposit through The Nest portal and complete the housing application through the eRezLife portal. Students who wish to create or join a roommate group should ensure that all members of the group have completed their housing applications in order to finalize their group.
