In partnership with athletics Toys for Tots will be hosting a fireman vs. police basketball game in the arena on Sunday 2/1. Doors open at 1:30 pm with tip-off at 2 pm and cost for their event is $10 for adults and $5 for students. This is an external event and all proceeds for tickets goes directly to Toys for Tots but concession sales will go towards the WBB team. The women’s and men’s basketball teams along with other volunteers from athletics will be helping out to make this event possible with the Winona Area Toys for Tots.
With this event on Sunday open to the public we want to make sure everyone is aware that there could be police or fireman attending after their shift in uniform so please be advised they would only be attending the fundraiser and if you see someone in a uniform they would be here in an attendee capacity. The Saint Mary’s University policies regarding ICE agents not entering buildings and our campus being private property remain in effect.
