When teaching faculty receive an email from Access Services titled ‘Faculty Testing Reminder’ you are prompted to fill out the Faculty Testing Form for each test that gets requested to be taken in the Access Services Testing Center. It is a guideline of the testing center to provide your test and testing materials and to fill out the Faculty Testing Form at least 24 hours in advance of the exam time. This guideline appears on the top of the Faculty Testing Form each time you fill it out. The guideline states, “If you have a student that has Testing or Exam accommodations, please complete this form 24 hours before your test/exam is to be given in the Access Services Testing Center. This allows us to verify all data given to us by both you, the instructor, and the student is correct. It also gives us the necessary time to make certain the accommodation needs of the students are met.” On many occasions, Access Services does not receive exam materials 24 hours before the scheduled exam time. When the ’24 hours prior to the exam’ timeframe has elapsed, Access Services will send the teaching faculty a reminder email to complete the Faculty Testing Form and to submit the exam materials. To try to improve this issue, Access Services has updated our guidelines to now CC department chairs on reminder emails when the 24 hour timeframe has elapsed if we have not received tests or testing materials from teaching faculty. This update to our test prep procedure will be effective immediately.
Thank you for understanding.
