Residence halls close for Thanksgiving break on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. and reopen on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.
If you are leaving campus for Thanksgiving Break, you must complete the break checkout form in eRezLife before departing campus.
Key card access will be turned off at 7:00 p.m. on November 25. If you need on-campus housing between Tuesday, November 25 after 7:00 p.m. and Monday, December 1 before noon you must request and must be approved to stay on-campus. This includes international students and student teachers. Please email the Office of Residence Life to request the break housing form. The break housing form must be completed by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, November 24 or a $25 late fee will be added to your student account.
Residence hall staff will check student rooms during break periods to ensure that no safety hazards or visible policy violation exist. If a staff member should encounter a resident residing in the residence halls without authorization, the resident may receive a fine and/or loss of campus housing.
Food service will not be available. The cafeteria will close at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, and the Cardinal Club will close at 5:00 p.m. on the same date. The cafeteria will reopen on Monday, December 1, for dinner.
The Cardinal Co-op food pantry will be open during break from 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. in Griffin Hall #199. If you have any unopened food, that cannot make the trip home with you, please consider donating it to the food pantry. Please speak with your RA or HD for directions on how to donate.
